Garden City Verizon teams with Victor Ornelas on back to school drive
The Garden City Verizon Wireless store partners with Victor Ornelas Elementary School to collect school supplies for the community. Donations are accepted at 3010 E Kansas Ave during 9 am to 8 pm Friday and Saturday and noon to 6 pm Sunday. Needed items include paper, pens and pencils, notebooks, folders, and three ring binders. A limited number of Verizon Wireless T shirts will be given to donors.

Silver Screen Nights Bring Me Again To Garden City
Garden City Recreation Commission hosts third annual Silver Screen Saturday Nights with lawn chairs blankets and snacks. The film Me Again screens around 9 30 p m at First Southern Baptist Church 2708 N Third St across from the cemetery. City seeks proposals for former American Legion building on Pine Street
Garden City officials begin accepting proposals from groups and residents to use the vacant Pine Street building at 125 W.
