Patriot Guard rider cruises in custom rickshaw
Bruce McIntyre 72 of Garden City sped up a 2003 motor rickshaw from 30 mph to 70 mph with a 21 horse power engine and uses it to entertain his great grandchildren and to aid Patriot Guard at memorials. He describes the bike like a floor of marble above 50 mph and notes his group numbers 247 000 nationwide. He recalls joining 110 members at a cold memorial when Westboro Baptist Church protested and says he distributed water to 32 cases of Patriot Guard members using the rickshaw. His mods include roof support poles by Geier Electric and upholstery by Bob Zeller.
