August 6 Garden City events showcase pet expo and family fun
Finney County Humane Society hosts a Pet Expo at Stevens Park with 20 vendors a K nine demo Kennel Club demo Steps Dance School dog and kid activities and multiple races from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also at Stevens Park Silver Screen Saturday Nights presents Shrek and Garden City High School stages Shrek The Musical Jr with two showings. Chachi’s Day raises funds for scholarships with auctions a 5K walk run a poker run kid carnival tournaments and more at Chachi's Place Main Street Deerfield. The Garden City Farmer's Market runs Saturdays 7 a.m. to noon in Westlake Hardware lot through Sept 24. Sunday free concert at 7:30 p.m. at Dawg Daze Big Pool.
