Beeler Man Injured In Rural Finney County Crash
Trev E. Rybacki, 51, of Beeler, was listed in good condition at St. Catherine Hospital after a Sunday motor vehicle crash in Finney County. He drove a 1992 Toyota Corolla north on Byler Road, struck a bridge embankment at 12 05 p.m., and became distracted reaching for something in the passenger seat while wearing a seat belt.

Airport entrance closed for road work near Garden City
The south entrance of Garden City Regional Airport is closed for about a week due to road construction on U.S. 50/400 between Towns Road and the Finney Gray county line. The north entrance remains open. Contractors will later close the north entrance. both entrances are to reopen by mid August. Enrolling for Garden City High School Drivers Education will occur Tuesday and Wednesday at 1412 N Main St, limited to 30 GCHS students, course cost $100 due September 19.

Garden City man Jason Lee Peters, 29, was sentenced to six years and three months for following and robbing five women after bank withdrawals. He pled guilty to burglary robbery and aggravated burglary with two robbery and two theft charges dismissed. He received credit for 221 days and faces a net five years seven months behind bars.
