Oklahoma firm takes over Hamilton County Hospital
An Oklahoma company called Carter Professional Care will manage Hamilton County Hospital in Syracuse for 10 years after trustees approved the move on April 14. CPC, a healthcare provider and staffing manager, aims to save the hospital from a multi million dollar shortfall and may expand services. The plan follows a county task force study of options after the hospital faced about 1.7 million in 2016 and 1.5 million in 2017 deficits and no fund warrants.
