Beavers split softball triad at Lakin, topple Lakin
Scott City Lady Beavers split a triangular with Colby and Lakin, losing to Colby 12 6 and beating Lakin 13 0 in five innings. Leadoff homer by Audrey Baker and back to back doubles sparked a five run fourth inning against Lakin. Hickey allowed five hits while striking out four in the win. Colby defeated Lakin earlier 13 1, with Cooper belting two homers to fuel the late rally. Coach Baker praised hitting while noting early 10 run surge hurt Lakin, and Lakin coach Jorgensen called it a step forward despite the two losses.
