Santa Fe Plans New Cars for El Capitan
Santa Fe announced that the El Capitan transcontinental train will be upgraded with Hi Level equipment by mid-1956. The new two level chair cars add 28 seats per car, raise height by 15.5 feet, and offer panoramic upper deck views, streamlined dining and dome lounge cars with more space, improved tracks, and a public address system.

Emporia State Hall Named Frank A. Beach Hall
Emporia State Teachers College renamed Music Hall to Frank A. Beach Hall in honor of former music department head Prof Beach. The State Board of Regents approved the change on faculty and Dr John E. King recommendations. Beach, who died in 193 ds, helped found the countrys first public school music festival.
