Coaches shuffle as HPL teams hire first year leaders
Several Hi Plains League schools will feature first year coaches next season as Jeff Fuss departs Lakin for Pratt and Gary O'Hair leaves Southwestern Heights for Andale. Holcomb's Joe Ross did not have his contract renewed after seven seasons and an overall 131-112 record. Ross, who was surprised by the move, has interviewed elsewhere while Fuss notes the tradition at Pratt and the challenge of stepping into a strong 4A program after guiding Lakin to 7-3.
