Cleanup of Iowa town to take months
In Mapleton Iowa residents brace for months of rebuilding after a Saturday tornado tore through the western town of about 1200, destroying 100 homes and displacing 500 to 600 residents. The EF3 storm, 3 1/2 miles long and up to 0.75 miles wide, caused millions in losses. No fatalities were reported though injuries occurred. Governor Branstad pledged state aid as residents like 92 year old Tom Sanford vow to repair.
