Retrial begins in murder case of Golub in Kansas
In Johnson City the retrial of Chad and Shannon Floyd opened with questions of opportunity and motive in the May 2005 killing of 27 year old Michael Golub, ex-boyfriend of Shannon Floyd. Prosecutor Richard Guinn said the couple sought Golub out to leave the area for Montana.

Finney County approves Bonanza BioEnergy tax abatement
The Finney County Commission on Monday unanimously approved a 10 year tax abatement plan for Bonanza BioEnergy and Conestoga Energy Partners. The abatement lowers property tax revenue by about 4.2 million over the decade while supporting a project with an estimated 70 to 90 million dollar investment near Windriver Grain. The policy grants 60 percent abatement for 10 years for capital investments over 25 million with final terms outlined in a memo of understanding among the county Bonanza and Conestoga Energy Partners.
