Mrs. R D Zartman hosted the Congenials and friends on a Tuesday afternoon in November with verses and reminiscences about Thanksgiving. Lulu Cook won a prize for guessing the lucky number as guests enjoyed peaches with whipped cream cake and tea. Obituary of John C. French of Indiana and Galveston
John C. French born in Fountain County Indiana on March 9 1849 died November 11 1920. He married Delra Poyner who preceded him. Funeral services were held at his residence southwest of Galveston conducted by Rev Whitesell. The body was taken to Illinois for burial.

The Majestic Needle Circle met at Ollie and Minnie Goodview home on Thursday November 11 1920 with thirteen members and three visitors. Officers elected for the year include Ida Merrell president Daisy Rank vice president Susie Graves secretary treasurer Eva Geeting and Anna Wooley on bylaws with others. Christmas exchange slips were drawn and plans discussed for holiday entertainment. A motion allocated treasure funds to buy small Christmas gifts for each member and Susie Graves and Myrtle Price received birthday gifts. Next meeting will be with Susie Graves on Thursday December ?
