Historic Memorial Day Observance Draws Large Crowd
The May day celebration in Lakeville featured cemetery visits by many from Kokomo and nearby towns, a grand parade with Elks band and G.A.R. units, and a program at the Baptist church including songs, a Gettysburg address, and tributes to fallen servicemen. Local trustees and sexton J. W. McKwain praised grounds upkeep as crowds reflected, in cool, sunny weather.
