A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Born-To Bob Fording on Thursday indicating a family addition announced at Spradling’s.
Wm Sprinkle Jr rents the Eisenbrey business room for auto sales. John Thomas Furniture offers new furniture with purchases. W H Whiteside plans a spring building on his blacksmith shop site. Jesse Ault from the Soldiers Home at Lafayette visited for the G A R dinner and entertainment.
The M. E church ladies will host an all day meeting and dinner at the church on February 24. Kokomo visitors included Mrs. Cora Emerick and daughters along with several others from Indianapolis Chicago Peoria Logansport and Minneapolis visiting area residents.
John B Vaughan of Athens Ga offers 3 cents postage and 12 names of music leaders and Sunday school superintendents to receive a copy of his 1915 song book Heavenly Echoes free. Rev Geo H Trinkle leaves for a ten day South Bend visit with daughter Mrs B H Huffman. Huffman is an electrician with a New York firm and may be sent to Burlington Iowa or Oklahoma City. Anyone needing Rev Trinkles service should leave a message with H Z Carey for forwarding.
Miss Maggie Wyatt and Otis Haskett were united in marriage at 8 p.m. in the Jackson street home of the bride’s aunt Mrs. Bell Whiteside with Rev. G E Garrison officiating. Lillie Cameron played Mendelssohn before the ceremony. reception featured brick cream and cake, pink and white decor, and gifts including $10 from S B Wallace of California and a rug from Mrs. Whiteside and Johnny Wyatt.
Chas Spradling sick. Everett Rynerson of Elwood visited Galveston as caller. New London beat Galveston 39 to 21 in a Friday high school game in Swaner's hall. Galveston won a curtain raiser 21 to 1 against Walton. G A R and Old Glory Circle Lincoln birthday dinner at Baptist church drew large crowds, with 1 to 3 pm closures and about $25 raised. Stores and schools closed for the afternoon. program included music readings and talks.
