Red Cross Surgical Dressings Drive Exceeds January Output
The Surgical Dressings Department in Logansport produced 1750 dressings in January with 22 afternoons of top attendance by Mrs. Nell Stewart. Mrs. Migg nie Lenon set a personal high of 525 dressings, while many volunteers from the Tuesday Club A B Bible Class and High School girls aided. The unit also shipped two sweaters two wristlets and thirteen socks and aims for 2000 dressings in February despite wool shortages.

Death of Edna Crowder in Indianapolis Hospital
Edna Crowder daughter of John Crowder and wife of Macy died at Methodist hospital Indianapolis after a ten day illness of double pneumonia. She was a 1910 Galveston High School Alumni and trained nurse in Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held in Galveston at the Methodist church with burial in Galveston cemetery.
