At Sha ners hall on Friday Windfall beat the first team 35 to 25 and Onward defeated the second team 26 to 20 in a basketball game. The event followed local notices about purchases and visits to Kokomo and Richmond.
Money to loan on farm mortgages at five percent. Inquiries directed to Charles C. Haag secretary Home Savings & Loan 67 North Broadway Peru. Local social notes report The Tuesday Club entertained by Mrs Willard Burrows on January 26 at West Howard Street with members listed. The New Idea Sewing Circle met at Griffith Street with light refreshments and several attendees. Mrs Frank Stanley admitted as a member. Next meetings announced.
Friday January 29 was Alumni Day in Galveston schools with regular classes held and alumni visiting classrooms notably Manual Training and Domestic Science. John Marshall led a 20 minute talk on Words to the High School, aiming to strengthen school alumni ties.

Mrs Mary Delaplane near Logansport nurses stepmother Tillie Davis. George Sprinkle buys G W Emry property on west Jackson for 700 dollars. Mrs James Babb visits Logan home.
