The W H M S of the M E church met at the parsonage Friday afternoon with president Mrs E M Spaulding presiding. Mrs Chamness was appointed to supervise the children's organization and February’s meeting will be with Mrs Chamness.
Mrs Eva Gray’s relatives, Lon McClain and others arrive home after a weeks long visit with her daughter Mrs Elmer Tyner in Town. Harold Platt of Portland sent an electric lamp as a gift to the family. Elizabeth Gish, 77, dies near Young America. funeral in Dunkard church with Hoover cemetery burial. Andrew H Renzas of New York demonstrates a new instrument named Pianoette at Hotel Denison Kokomo.
A report from the lorocco Courier states that Mrs. Ed Gorman, her daughter Evelyn, and sister Lois Bell were overcome by gas from a coal base device at their home on Tuesday night. They were removed to a nearby facility where medical aid was administered.
Willing Workers entertained Emma Emry and Viking Workers at an all day meeting Friday. Members included James Wampler, A M t, Rebecca McClain, E N Tur Dorn List, James Henry, J P is, A H Alles, Emma Emry, Anna Wampler. Visitors were Allen, Mrs Susie Daggett, Winpler, Franklin Emry. A fine dinner was served and Mrs Emry, soon moving to a new home, received a dresser scarf. The next meeting will be at the Allen home.
Mrs. Jane Foy is on the sick list. Miss Nellie Klepfer visits sister Mrs Spann and family at Gas City. Miss Reba Chamness and Minor Gray took teacher exams at Logansport. Mrs. J. W. Wood and daughter Mabel and Prof. J. S. Hahn and family spent Saturday in Kokomo. Amel Spring and wife return to Delphi after visiting relatives here. Mrs. Fanny Arthur granted a divorce from John Artur with property settled out of court. Virgil Mendenhall and wife of Young America were guests of Mrs. Ora Chamness and family. A letter from Mrs. Lewis Graham says they enjoy a mild North Dakota winter, at 38 below earlier. the family had been ill with la grippe but are well now.
Miss Effie Moody spent Saturday and Sunday with friends in Denver. Dr. J. F. Cornell and family were the Sunday guests of L. E. Miller and wife.
Bert Hyman and Delbert Flynn both Cass County Treasurer and Auditor were observed conducting county business in Galveston on Saturday.
