Miss Nellie Frier spends Sunday near Young America. Alison Bell returns from southern business trip. The Galveston community reports football ties, a small office fire, and social visits. A 1907 lodge notice announces an election of officers, while Edna Burkett and William C. Lutz wed at Bunker Hill.
C F Thomas promotes long term farm loans of $50,000 with Eastern money and reliable indemnity from Home Aetna Phoenix National. It cites State Life insurance, $59,000 deposited with Indiana, and claims safe real estate investments including nine residence lots, thirteen houses for rent, and 15 farms for sale across 30 to 320 acre tracts in a Galveston era ad.
On Thanksgiving day at 2 30 in the Methodist Episcopal church Ethel eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J W Wood and Charley G Thomas were married in the presence of about 300 friends Rev Herbert Boase officiating The church featured flowers ferns and ribbons The bridal party entered to Lohengrin March with Miss Yenna as bridesmaid Miss Mabel Wood maid of honor and Miss Kate McClain sang O Promise Me Ave Maria was performed by Mrs Zehring The couple will reside on the Thomas farm east of town and received many gifts from relatives and friends

Community page notes Alvin Thurs Walk and extended guests from Marion with Thanksgiving plans and holiday goods. The town football team defeated the freshmen 45 to 6 at Shaner field. The reference books have arrived, a twenty five volume Britannica set that is second hand yet nearly new. Ralph Bitler reports a Monday visit as editors plan immediate action and a first issue is due later this month.

Attendees from Walton Peru Bunker Hill Deacon Kokomo and Texas gathered for the Wood-Thomas wedding Thursday at a local venue. Families Tom Beail Mr Beeson S A McKwain and Miss Bessie Mc Dowell were noted among the visitors.
