Menominee Farmer Henry Luther Dies by Own Action

Henry Luther a wealthy stock raiser and prosperous farmer of Menominee Township near East Dubuque died Friday morning by self-inflicted razor wounds. Found by his wife in his room, coroner's inquest returned a verdict of death by own action while temporarily insane after a long period of mental decline.

Death of Mrs W A Palmer at Dubuque home

Word reached Galena of the death of Mrs W A Palmer at her Dubuque residence 11 west 14th street. After a six month illness from internal cancer she died at 4 80 this morning. She was 60 and survived by her husband. The funeral is set for Monday at 2 30 in the afternoon with Dr Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Linwood Cemetery.

Man Arrested Over Shoes At Local Fairword

A stranger tied to a wrave horse owner at the Fair was arrested Friday afternoon for stealing a pair of shoes from a local dealer. He posted bond after a few hours in jail and was released. The man was described as a morphine addict and not responsible for his actions. The Medley Club opens its season with a meeting at Mrs. J. W. Westwick’s home on Monday evening.
