Young Man Arrested for Disorderly Conduct on Franklin Street

Dugan of Franklin Street was arrested this morning on complaint by Mrs Louisa Cook. He appeared before Justice Clark and pled guilty to disorderly conduct, claiming intoxication as his defense. The justice fined him five dollars plus costs, which were not paid, and he was remanded to jail to serve the fine.

Sixteen Mining Company organized in Janesville Wis

The Sixteen Mining Company organized in Janesville Wisconsin to operate in Grant County. It is incorporated under Wisconsin law with head office in Janesville and capital stock of $16000 fully paid in. The firm has leased forty acres on the New York 80 formerly owned by the Spies estate now held by Nelson J Russel of Rockford and Snyder and Smith of Minneapolis.
