John Dignan, tax collector of East Galena, returns books to the County Treasurer with total collections of 14 004.14 dollars. Win Switzer of Rawlins also submits books. Tragic Find Near Floodwood Believed Andrew Walsh

A man about 25 with blue eyes and smooth shaved features, believed to be Andrew Walsh of Vinegar Hill, was found mutilated beside the Great Northern Railway near Island station west of Floodwood. Coroner’s inquiry followed as detectives searched letters and belongings from the victim’s pockets for identification and possible clues.

The firm recently secured the contract to build a road bridge in East Galena from Seales Mound to the Council Hill highways for 374 dollars, covering iron and stone work.
