Lake Shore flyer wreck near Mentor claims many lives

A passenger train on the Lake Shore line crashed near Mentor station at 9 80 on Wednesday night after a loose switch. Eight died and at least four were fatally hurt with around thirty injured, as crowds watched the burning wreckage and rescue efforts commenced swiftly with doctors and relief trains arriving from Cleveland and Willoughby.
