A young woman from Cuba City suffered a minor accident getting off an Illinois Central train at the depot Monday noon. She tripped on the car steps, fell on her back, and was shaken up. She stayed at the Desoto hotel in the afternoon but is not believed to be badly hurt.
Lancaster visitor L D Hastman and Dubuque traveler O E Bennett check in while locals make business trips to Stockton and Madison. Ed Waters leaves St Marys Hospital. marriage license days end with Wm Roberts and Nora Mayer wed by Judge Rippin. Sheriff Whitmore orders a new 8 by 15 foot flag for the county courthouse as Hodson battles illness.

A large Freeport gathering has invitations for the 3rd anniversary of General U S Grant with Jennings William Bryan as orator. Invitations are issued by committee members H D Howard J C Williams David Sheean John H Hellman and J J Tves. The ceremony will be held Thursday April 27 in Galena.

Judge Hallett administrator over George W Clayton estate in Denver clears will conflicts and allocates 1 000 000 of 3 000 000 to public housing. Homes to be sold on easy terms with nominal interest for occupants, funds supporting the Clayton home for male orphans. Estate owns eighty acres inside city limits for 400 homes at a cost of 800 000.
Members of Company M and invited guests enjoyed a banquet at their hall on Monday evening. The program dropped the regular drill maneuvers in favor of social conversation and toasts. Present in uniform, the company members shared a relaxed evening with Rev. Van de Brwye, Hey Crissman, Win. Rippin, and Mr. Thompson responding to toasts.
