Peter Cordial of Eckhart observed the Fourth of July with a family reunion and a bountiful dinner to honor his 70th birthday. Born July 4, 1841, he has long been esteemed as a good citizen. Camp Meeting at Allegany Grove Opens in July

The Frederick District Methodist Episcopal Church holds a camp meeting at Allegany Grove from Friday July 14 to Monday July 24 with prominent international ministers including Rev Dr J F Heisse E L Watson J C Nicholson W L McDowell W M Ferguson and R L Wright Bishop W F Anderson to preach. A large district-wide chorus will lead singing and extra electric railway cars are arranged for Frostburg and vicinity attendees. Distressing Accident Drowns Toddler in Maryland Home

Mr and Mrs Duckworth of First Alley mourn a two year old daughter lost while parents were away. The child strayed from a sister, fell into a cess-pool on the premises and drowned.
