Charley Davis In Jail In Kansas For Forgery
Charley Davis, who fled Fremont last February after forging checks to take $125 from the Bank of Fremont and small sums from others, was nabbed in Kansas for a similar offense. He had served a jail term there for a misdemeanor, then moved toward Texas before a stop in Oklahoma led to a two year penitentiary sentence. He will be brought back to Indiana after completion. Meanwhile fremont merchants advertise a flood of new goods at South Side Drug Store, including brushes, lamps, china, and purse items.
