Community column records visits and movements of residents around Angola and nearby towns. It notes Ed Foss moving near Marshall Michigan, local gatherings at the Angola fair, campaign chatter about McNaughton and Hanna, post office and mail details, and social curiosities including visitors from Ohio and England.
Health complaints in village tied to lack of saloons
The report notes many suffer heart disease and "phantom" illnesses in the village, attributing higher prevalence to no saloons and reliance on doctors for prescriptions to obtain liquor, while Camden shows no such diseases.
