Adolph L. Millett of Manchester New Hampshire testifies that Chamberlains Pain Balm relieved his wife's lame shoulder after nine years of pain and unsuccessful medical treatment. He reports using one bottle brought near cure and notes it is sold by W N McKeehen.
Charles Harter and Frank M Troop hold sales at nearby Fremont residences. Harter offers 1 three year old colt, two two year olds, cattle, sheep, a McCormick binder and farm implements plus corn and fodder at Thessing Nov Lith. F M McNinshead sells at his residence four miles northwest of Fremont on Thursday November 2. Household stock includes 2 mares 2 colts 2 cows 3 calves 1 yearling heifer 27 sheep 15 ahores sow and 7 pigs chickens and turkeys. Farm implements Buckeye mower corn binder 7 wheel cultivator and more. G L Wilkinson acts as auctioneer.
A collage of old notices sells tonics and salves with claims of cures for bumps and bruises. Mentions Henry and Johnson Arnies, Beggs' German Salve, One Minute Cough Cure, DeWitt's Witch Hazel Salve, Chamberlain's Cough Remedy, Kodol Dyspepsia Cure, and King-size bottles. Also reports Mrs. Adeline Doolittle's death at Bath el Michigan aged 83 and a sow attack on John Castell. Local merchants McKeehen and W. N. McKeehen advertise recurring products and guarantees.
An advertisement touts Warner’s White Wine of Tar Syrup claiming a 24 hour cure for la grippe and relief for coughs. It also sells Dr King’s New Life Pills as a liver stomach and bowel aid. The misspelled copy promotes stock fraud style solicitations and bank job schemes.
The ad asserts August Flower remains the largest selling medicine worldwide and prescribes it for indigestion bile and general malaise. It cites past reliance by mothers and grandmothers and promotes sample bottles at McKeehen's drug store, with endorsements from Geo. Noland of Rockland Ohio and DeWitt's Witch Hazel Salve as a skin healer.
A Page store was robbed Sunday night with a small value of goods taken. a visiting Collwater boy pleaded guilty before Squire Letts and received a fine of 3 dollars. The goods were recovered. An ad text extols Electric Oitters as a malaria cure with a testimonial from W A Null of Webb III. Also promoting Warner's White Wine of Tar Syrup and W N McKeehen as seller.
Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railway will sell round trip excursion tickets to Philadelphia with return on November 14 and 25 at one fare covering ten days. Editor W V Barry of Lexington Tennessee suffered piles but healed quickly using Bucklen's Arnica Salve, advertised as a global wonder. 25 cents at McKeehen's.
The ad touts a fast acting remedy for La Grippe and cough related illnesses. It claims immediate results for coughs colds croup bronchitis pneumonia and throat and lung troubles and warns it can prevent consumption. Listed are prices 25 and 500 and a vendor W N McKeehen or McKeeben in LaGrippe era.
The Angola lodge invites all Knights in the county to a series of free lectures in its hall. The first talk is November 24 by Judge Powers on Damon and Pythias. Other speakers include W OM Brown Frank M Powers Dr Waller and Senator N W Gilbert with more dates to be announced.
