Changes of Seven Years in Fremont Business Scene

A retrospective of Fremont's growth highlights longtime firms and shifts. Bank of Fremont stayed with cashier Newt Ball after Geo. F. Ball's 1893 death. Hilton House Barn passed through Reynolds to Knight Gilbert. Livery, mill, blacksmiths, and photo studios shifted, with Pilliod Mill sold, Caswell evaporating plant burned, and explosive mill fire ending a Pleasant Lake operation.
