Fremont Fourth Celebrations Provide Quiet Holiday
Fremont residents marked the Fourth with a calm day at home or lake outings while Nay hosted a lively program. Judge Stephen A. Powers spoke at Nay, Lieutenant Governor Gilbert addressed Lake James attendees, and a new electric road between Angola and Lake James handled crowds. A local militia exhibition impressed, and a jail case tied to chicken theft was resolved with bond issues.
