Turkey Grants Rail Concessions Aimed at Modernization
The Sultan of Turkey has ordered modernization by approving long railway projects. One line will reach Damascus while another, the Tigris and Euphrates Railway, will extend toward the Persian Gulf. The routes will connect east, north, and south with Constantinople as the terminus.
