Fremont Man’s Ford Bed Invention Attracts Attention

Avery Champion of Fremont, living west of town, developed a Ford sleepable car seat that opens to a bed. The U S patent office responded positively and Ford Motor Co invited him to Detroit. Also, Harry L. Taylor bought nineteen acres part of the Grove place west of the road inside town limits.

Rhodes Plan New Restaurant in Hotel Corner Room

We misinformed last week about changes to the hotel building. The corner room will become a first class restaurant and lunch room run by Mr and Mrs Rhodes. The location and their reputation for good meals at the hotel suggest a great potential for success.

The Steuben county Winter Corn Show and Farmers Institute meet Feb 15 16 in Angola at the Christian church. C J Munton Named Republican Candidate for Joint Senate Vacancy

At a Kendallville convention the Republican parties of Noble Steuben and LaGrange counties chose C J Munton of Kendallville by unanimous vote as the candidate to fill the state senate vacancy caused by the death of Senator William T Green of Albion. Munton, 42, with a long public service record and strong party ties, is praised as highly capable to represent Noble Steuben and LaGrange counties and support Governor Goodrich’s reforms.
