The Sorosis society holds its annual picnic at Lake George hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Ad. W. Cheleason on the Jamestown side. About twenty five ladies attend along with a large number of children eager for a joyful day.
On Monday at seven o'clock in Fremont at the home of the bride’s parents Mr and Mrs W VanaAuken Lott and Vella VanAuken were married. Only family attended due to the mother’s poor health and a larger party was not planned. They departed on the nine o'clock train for a three month trip to California. Best wishes go with them.

Wynne Knapp, working at Ray, spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J Knapp. Mr. Thompson repaired his house with a new paint coat. H J Woodard sold his cow to Mr. Pothoof of Jamestown Saturday. Several people from there attended a quarterly meeting at the Phillipa school house Sunday.
Prohibitionists of Steuben and La Grange counties plan a joint mass convention in Angola at the court house park on August 10 at 2 p.m. to nominate a candidate for state representative. On August 13 state chairman Lough and his party will tour Steuben County with the Clarony quartet and W. H. Hickman, governor candidate, and may arrange an automobile itinerary stopping at several points.
