At the Export Exposition building delegates gather for the Republican convention with Governor Roosevelt and Senator Wolcott featured. McKinley’s policies and currency reform praised as party unity and western support surge.
At Philadelphia June 21 1900 William McKinley was nominated for president by acclamation with Theodore Roosevelt unanimously named as vice president. The convention adjourned sine die after Roosevelt's rousing acceptance and McKinley secured 930 of 980 votes.
A pro Sunday closing letter argues state law already punishes Sabbath violations and urges Hamburg to enact a city ordinance. It cites business support, moral duty, and precedent from Washington to local merchants, insisting enforcement will be practical and beneficial.

A June 26 Baptist church benefit concert by Mrs. Ora Reininger Perry is announced with 25 cent admission.
An advertisement from C. Stoner & Co. promises a cure for a cold while you sleep using Weeks Break Up A Cold Tablets. They offer a cheerful refund of the purchase price if the product fails to cure.
A historic ad claims Shiloh cures coughs colds and incipient consumption and praises its world spanning use over fifty years. The notice also urges readers to prepare for a grand Fourth of July celebration by purchasing a fine hat from Mrs Parkhurst.
An advertisement claims the Shiloh’s Cough and Consumption Cure can cure the worst cold or cough. It touts a fifty year positive guarantee and lists Jas Mann and Son druggists as the sellers.
