The Democrat offers a year's subscription free to new subscribers paying one dollar or back subscribers paying a year in advance, with a chance to win a 160 acre Hayes County Nebraska farm to be awarded February 4, 1903. Premium also includes Rand McNally map 66 by 46 inches, US and World sides, valued at two dollars.
A Madison Georgia reader E H Wise praises One Minute Cough Cure for restoring health during a cold wave. The ad claims the product cures coughs colds la grippe bronchitis pneumonia and all throat and lung troubles by thinning phlegm drawing out inflammation healing mucous membranes and strengthening the lungs. Bartlett and Boyle advertise.
