New South American Ostrich Venture Attracts Agricultural Bureau

The Agricultural Bureau weighs introducing the ostrich as a new agricultural feature. At $25 each for three month olds, thirty five birds would need about 300 acres of grazing. Feathers fetch about $125 per bird, though overall returns on 300 acres may be thin. The plan envisions moving birds toward the camel region with the two species sharing space.
