Novel Mutual Life Plan in Philadelphia Described
A Philadelphia observer describes a new mutual life assurance scheme. Six hundred members pay five dollars to join, then each death triggers a 1.95 dollar levy from survivors, with widows receiving the total member count in dollars. Only three deaths have occurred in nearly two years, and the plan targets Masons and German circles, inspired by German models.
