Stars vs Badgers at Beloit in a junior baseball friendly
The Star Base Ball Club of Freeport traveled with fans and a reporter to Beloit for a friendly with the Badger club. Over six hundred spectators attended as the Wisconsin Badgers played in Illinois, with Stars under twenty facing seasoned opponents in a windy prairie ground. The detailed innings show the Badgers dominating at times, outbatting the youths and scoring several tallies across innings one through four amid fielding quirks and wild throws.
