Vote for Gen. E. F. Dutton for Clerk of the Supreme Court

A campaign note urging support for General E F Dutton for Clerk of the Supreme Court appears amid a political debate. The write up references Hathaway versus Hathaway and a controversial speech at an Opera Trause event where a bank president spoke on the Democratic platform and retirement of the National Bank system.

Hathaway Declines Unity With Opposition Over National Bank

The Journal quotes Mr. Hathaway at a convention stating he cannot unite the opposition since the Democratic platform opposes National banks, while he has long led a National bank.
