Expedition journal in Utah 1872 Camp notes and travels

Attempted Break In At Emanuel Field Store

A burglar attempt occurred at Emanuel Field clothing store around midnight Wednesday. A round opening was cut in the south front window light with a diamond tool to admit a man but failed as glass broke during removal. Adolph Lille woke, alarmed the thieves, who fled. Only glass loss estimated at five to ten dollars.
