Ode to the Home as Eden by the Beloved Isle
A lyrical poem extols home as a serene Eden amid life’s tempests. It imagines calm air, blooming beauty, and the hearth’s warmth as priceless riches. The verse speaks of loving family, children’s bright feet, and angels blessing the home by the sea.
Death and Resurrection in Swedenborg's Writings Explored
Transcribed by C. H. Little, this piece examines Emanuel Swedenborg's assertion that after death the resuscitated spirit first experiences a phase of natural thought, then enters spiritual thought guided by angels and later by good spirits, as the soul moves toward heaven or hell. The narrative discusses eye opening imagery and the evolving state of consciousness after death.

Little Girl Saves Passenger Train From Destruction
A 13 year old girl Lizzie Bourland in Woodlawn Illinois discovered brush and a tie on the track. She signaled the approaching westbound passenger train with a parasol to stop. The engine struck the tie but brakes and low speed prevented damage. The conductor credited the girl with saving lives and took her to her destination.
