She offers Cornwell self fitting charts for women and children, Mme Morse Paris patterns, and full dressmaking services in all branches at current prices. Rooms over Huenkemeier’s on Upper Stephenson St. Syrup, coffee, tea, canned goods, sugar stocked by Burrell Bros at Chicago prices.
An overshadowing ad column promotes Hop Bitters for spring health and a Great Anti Morbid Remedy for bowels liver and kidneys. A playful note mentions a Michigan man who ate nine pumpkin pies on a wager. Also a sale notice lists a cook stove parlor stove awning show cases store stools and shoe boxes at low prices near Freeport House on Galena Street.
A recruiting notice advertised earning 72 dollars weekly or 12 dollars daily from home with a costly outfit supposedly free. Applicants were told to write THuUr & Co. at 483 Ly Augusta Maine for details.
J G Starkey, a leading Iowa City resident, reports long term liver complaint relief after using Shilo h’s Vitalizer as advertised in the local paper. He states it cured him and calls it the best remedy he has known. Sold by Emmert Burrell.
