Fitch & Rogers of upper Stephenson street announce a large ice supply cut above the city with delivery rounds starting Monday. Burrell Brothers advertise eight pounds of Green Rio Coffee for a dollar.
The advertisement lists Plug Tobaccos brands Horse Shoe Star Lorillard Army and Mary and others at 60 cents per pound and Fine Cut at 40 50 60 and 65 cents per pound. It promotes Anti Morbific a liver and kidney remedy and notes to see another column for details.
An old advertisement touts Dr Fenner's Improved Cough Honey as a cure for head cold symptoms. It promises relief within one hour and offers a sample bottle for 10 cents, appealing to buyers seeking fast results.
Where doctors have failed to cure, Electric Bitters are claimed to cure diseases of the stomach liver kidneys and urinary organs. They supposedly relieve constipation headaches and bilious attacks and are sold by Emmert and Burrell for fifty cents a bottle.
Fish products including white fish trout lake sterling California salmon and mackerel offered in kits quarter barrels or half barrels with guaranteed quality and low prices. SHILOHs Catarrh Remedy with nasal injector offered 50c by Emmert and Burrell.
A persuasive notice extols Dr King's New Discovery for consumption and lung ailments. It claims cures for coughs asthma bronchitis hoarseness and breathing issues and offers a ten cent trial bottle or one dollar full size at Emmert & Burrell's Drug Store Freeport.
