Special Election Defeats New Law Amid Ward Splits
The special election in the city on Monday resulted in the defeat of the new law by a 68 vote majority. Ward 8 supported the measure while Wards 1 and 2 voted against it.
Accidents in Pattison Machine Shop Injure Two Men
In Jerre Pattison's machine shop N O Baker had his right hand drawn into a high speed vertical shaft causing a severe thumb cut and bone fracture to a fore finger. A wooden block fell injuring M G Washburn forcing his hand to contact a circular saw with mangling injuries but no bone damage. Dr J H Beaumont reports both men improving.
