The Caledonia arrived at 11 o'clock last night bringing news from Europe of little importance. No especial event of importance has occurred in any part of Europe.
Britain reports Mr Bulwer, the Minister to the United States, sailed from Portsmouth aboard the sloop Senate. The Telegraph says his first duty is to assess US encouragement for Canada’s withdrawal from British rule. He reportedly resists US interference in the Nicaragua affair and warns Canada against coercive annexation. Parliament prorogued to January 16. A Proclamation fixes a Thanksgiving Day for November 15 due to cholera abatement. Ireland remains quiet.
