American riders set 24 hour bicycle record at Coliseum
In Chicago at the Coliseum riders Grimm Waller Shinner Miller and Myers broke the 24 hour American record finishing as the top four. Grimm rode 486 miles 1151 yards, Waller 482 miles 968 yards, Shinner 462 miles 567 yards, Miller 459 miles 238 yards, Myers 427 miles 887 yards. Tramps Fight Over Beer Keg. One Fatally Stabbed
A group of twelve tramps clashed over a keg of beer at the P. and W. stock yards in Bushnell. Tom Hamilton of Atlantic, Illinois, was fatally stabbed in the right shoulder by a stranger who is jailed in Macomb. The prisoner claims self defense.
