The county fair is near. the executive committee aims for an efficient display and urges farmers families to contribute every product from their farms. Farmers and wives are asked to prepare well, fill all departments, and represent their industries while the publication of the premium list is awaited.
The notice invites applicants for a free two student session at Blomington with tuition and books provided by the county and board. Also includes political commentary on Dred Scott and a Chicago death notice for printer D. F. Bitaping, formerly with the Chicago Democrat, noting his congenial character and death from stomach inflammation.
