Illinois Central R. A. schedules its annual stockholders meeting in Chicago on October 18. Personal attendance of individual holders is desired.
Public notice announces the annual meeting of Annols Central Railroad Company to be held in Chicago on October 18 1906. Stockholders registered by September 28 1906 receive a free travel ticket to attend the meeting, valid for four days before and after, with limits and countersignature requirements. The ticket is issued per stockholder, no more than one per stockholding, and must be requested in writing to the President. Secretary A G Hackstaff signs the notice from Chicago.
North Western Line offers low round trip rates to Portland via direct routes or with brief layovers through San Francisco and Los Angeles. Send 2 cent stamp for illustrated folder detailing extensive routes including side trips to Yellowstone and Alaska. Also notes winter sleigh painting and repair services by E. Gran and a house mover, Wm. Gundry, now operating from 175 South Galena Avenue.
A Washington dispatch notes the silver dollar is disappearing from circulation as paper money grows in the West and Treasury policy shifts toward certificates. Subtreasury operations expand bullion usage for half dollars quarters and dimes, while mint output of small coins remains in high demand despite ample production.
