From Our Own Correspondent Cedarville Oct 28 mild fall weather residents visit neighbors and attend to daily tasks. Obituary Miss Edna May Wilson died at home age 19 years 2 months 28 days after sudden illness. funeral plans and faith noted.
Ridott news from October 28 reports Mr. and Mrs. C R Boyer of Freeport visiting. Died last Saturday at daughter’s home near Freeport was Pierces, former Ridott resident. funeral and Ridott cemetery interment followed. Rev Fry improving after illness. Deputy mail carrier for route No 2 came to Chas Cothersman’s home last Friday. Roggers led quarterly U B church meeting last evening. Mrs Gitchel and Elma Gitchel visiting relatives at Dakota. Wim Bennett visiting Chicago briefly. Mrs John Tavenner returned to Polo after a Ridott visit. Mrs Ben Lincoln of Freeport called on Ridott friends Sunday.
Dakota news reports a flurry of social visits and small events. Clinton Iowa visitors Mr Chambers and wife stay with Jas Chadwick and J R Chambers while Freeport guest Miss Musser tours the town. J R Chambers travels to Rockford and back. A football game between the Academy and Freeport ends scoreless. Social events include a Weight social at the academy chapel on Halloween. Multiple towns are cited with relatives and visitors including Amboy German Valley Garden City Red Oak Albany Freeport Oakland and others.
A Paris physician advised Cuticura for a skin irritation after charging one hundred francs. The patient recovered, per a letter from Lewis Gower of New York dated December 16, 1906. French physicians specializing in skin diseases have long prescribed Cuticura, including at Hospital Saint Louis in Paris.
A Chicago father with ten children praises Cuticura external and internal treatments for skin and scalp troubles seen in his family. He notes low doctors fees and lists Cuticura Soap, Ointment, Resolvent pills, and an optional blood-purity pill, all marketed by Potter Drug.

Kahley of Freeport and Mrs Rollman of Cedarville visited S A Weaver yesterday. Chas Bowers and Levi Youngbladt loaded a car with beers today. The local football team traveled to Rockford for a game with Rockford second team. score 6 to 15, Rockford.
In LeRoy Illinois on Oct 29, Miss Tillie Vehmeier and Paul Klaas were married last Wednesday evening at the bride's home by Rev Schwarz. The couple are well known locally and receive best wishes from friends. The column notes several local visits and small social events surrounding the community.
From Our Own Correspondent Orangeville October 28 Many locals travel to Freeport for visits and calls including Mrs L C Runkle Mrs Wm Brobst Mrs H C Snyder and Miss Nellie Gibbs. A baby boy was born to Tom Fisher and wife Thursday night. The funeral of David Kline was held near Pleasant Hill with strong attendance. The Wagner and Orpha Wagner remembrances were noted with large floral tributes at Monroe and Beloit visitors. Perry Emrich grows weaker as town residents visit and church members gather.

Freeport Illinois resident Mrs Claude Downey of 95 Cottonwood Street reports relief from kidney trouble after using Doan's Kidney Pills. She suffered back pain headaches dizziness and low energy before treatment. She bought at Emmett's drug store and says the pain left quickly and never returned. Doan's Pills cost 50 cents and Foster Milburn Co Buffalo NY distributes them in the US.
Shannon Oct 30 reports a string of local visits and travel. Mrs Geo D Byers and Lizzie Hannon toured Freeport with others joining various hosts. Mabel Holmes of Freeport visited Mabel Coon, while Dr Miller and R Kersey and Prof Donner spent time in the area. Records show multiple excursions between Shannon Ridott Lanark and Florence with carloads of cement and coal hauling noted. John Busker, now in U S Navy, visited relatives after summer at Fort Monroe Virginia.
Mrs Eric Kruse and Misses Minnie Irene and Johanna Buss visited Freeport. Preparatory services for Rev Hoobert’s ordination were held at the Baptist church with Rev G E Meyers of Chicago delivering the sermon. Various clergy spoke, a love feast followed, and Rev Haack introduced the new pastor. Mrs Frinda Fuls died Sunday night and will be buried at the Reformed church in German Valley. Local residents Garwig and Roskam visited Freeport, and Rev Thorman may join the Reformed church at Belmont Iowa after considering a call.
Davis correspondent reports the WCTU will meet at Mrs. Jane Kleckner’s home on Thursday afternoon November 31. Willis Liljequist of Freeport visits, Mystic Workers of the World plan to take in several candidates Tuesday night November 5. Various residents travel, illness updates include Mrs. Creakey sick, Mrs. Will Morris improving, Mr. Keagle Sr. ill, Roland Pfaff improving, and Mrs. Henry Wilke and Mrs. Martin Sewalson recovering. Frank Becker returns to Chicago. Dr. Cleveland busy with local patients. Hallowe’en party planned for Mystic Workers on October 31. numerous visitors and travel notes among Davis, Nazareth and Milwaukee contacts. Daniel Neidermeifer severely kicked by a horse, three ribs broken. Dr. Cleveland attends him.
