On October 21 at Island Lake Illinois the Grand Lodge of Knights of Pythias Illinois expelled Germania lodge No 2 of Chicago for using German in ritual opening and closing work. The lodge retained its charter after sixty members out of 150 remained, new charter issued under old name. Officers elected include Grand Chancellor John D Benedict Danville and Grand Master of Exchequer Charles Nieman Chicago among others.
