A Family Quarrel Ends With Hatchet Wound

Police were called to John Smith at the corner of Douglas avenue and Adams street for a family quarrel. Smith reportedly struck his wife, who responded with a hatchet blow causing a severe head wound. Officers took the participants to the station, but neither party wished to file a complaint and the matter was dropped.
