Mrs. Margaret Bering, 70, was severely injured yesterday on Walnut Street when she fell on the lawn. Her right hip was fractured and reduced by Dr. K F Sayer. She and Mea Borick, ill with rheumatism for six weeks, are noted in fragile health.
Police were called to John Smith at the corner of Douglas avenue and Adams street for a family quarrel. Smith reportedly struck his wife, who responded with a hatchet blow causing a severe head wound.
