Railroad Improves Sewer and Macadam Roads north of Taylor

The Milwaukee railroad tract north of Taylor Avenue received major upgrades. Nearly 1000 feet of fourteen inch sewer was laid, drainage basins added, and roads resurfaced with crushed rock and sand to create a uniform grade for coal and wood yards. Ownership remains with the railroad, with some parcels held by lessees and a few private owners along Taylor Avenue.
